We are looking for a Photo Curator to join our team and help expand and refine the image collection for TimeGuessr. This role is primarily focused on sourcing, managing, and curating high-quality photos for our platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Source and gather high-quality images that align with TimeGuessr’s gameplay.
• Curate and organize the photo collection to ensure diversity, relevance, and authenticity.
• Research and verify image details, including location, date, and historical context.
• Write descriptions for images.
• Ensure all images meet legal and copyright requirements before being added to the platform.

What We’re Looking For:

• A keen eye for selecting engaging and historically relevant images.
• Ability to respond to detailed and precise feedback - our curation process is highly selective, and only the best images make it through.
• Interest in TimeGuessr – If you’ve played the game before, you’ll have a better sense of how users interact with it.
• Passion for history, geography, and visual storytelling.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a remote team.

Nice-to-Have (Not Required, but a Bonus!)

• An understanding of copyright laws and image licensing (this can be learned, but prior knowledge is a plus).
• Experience working with historical archives, photography collections or as a photo editor.
• A background in history, geography, or journalism.
• Proficiency in multiple languages, especially for researching and verifying images from different regions.

This is a remote, part-time position, and we're open to candidates from anywhere. Hours may increase in the future as the platform evolves.
